So we’ve been celebrating Movember here at WACH FOX and the boys have grown some pretty sweet ‘staches. The whole idea is to create a dialogue about Prostate Cancer and to get men talking about their health. Everything is pink, pink, pink in October and we’re telling women to get tested for breast cancer, but 1 in 6 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer. The annual death rate is almost 33,000 men, pretty ridiculous when you hear the doctors say that many of those are preventable!
Dr. Edmunds from Capitol Urology has been a great resource, he even offered up free Prostate Cancer screenings for the event. Pretty awesome. Dr. Edmunds has also been visiting the set each Tuesday to talk about Men’s Health, you can catch him on 11/22 and 11/29 at 730am on Good Day.
If you or your husband, father, brother, or friend are nearing 40 or over, you should really give them a call. On Tuesday 11/22 from 1-4p they will do free exams and blood tests. The number is 251-6602.
